Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. Pixel Racing has no account and plays entirely offline. The internet is only used by iCloud, if it's on, to carry your records between your devices.

Does the game have ads or in-app purchases?

No. There are no ads and no in-app purchases — all the cars and all 12 tracks are included from the start.

How do I drift and boost?

Hold DRIFT in a bend while steering: the car slides and the drift charges. Let go and the charge goes into the boost bar; hold BOOST to spend it. Boost pads (⚡) fill the bar at once, and it also fills slowly on its own. "How to play", in the main menu, explains it all.

Can I play with a keyboard or a game controller?

Yes. Keyboard: ← → or A D steer, ↓ or S brakes, Shift drifts, Space boosts, Esc pauses. Controller: the stick or the D-pad steers, A or R2 boosts, X or R1 drifts, B or L2 brakes, Menu pauses. The on-screen buttons step aside while you use them, and come back when you touch the screen.

The rivals are too fast (or too slow). What can I do?

Choose the rivals' difficulty — Easy, Medium or Hard — when you set up the race. Whoever falls behind gets a little help, and whoever gets ahead a little less, so races stay close. Each car also drives differently: the kart is the easiest to handle.

How do I continue my records on another iPhone or iPad?

Sign in with the same Apple Account on both devices and keep iCloud on for Pixel Racing. The two copies are merged track by track and car by car, keeping the best of each — nothing done on either device is lost.

How do I change the language, my driver's name, the music or the sounds?

In the game's Settings. By default the game follows your device's language; you can choose English, Portuguese, Spanish or French, and it changes at once. There you also set the name and number on your car, the music and sound effects (each with its own switch and volume) and the vibration.

Reporting a problem

To help us find it quickly, please include:

  • what you were doing when it happened, and whether it happens every time;
  • your device and its system version (for example, iPhone 17 with iOS 27);
  • the version of Pixel Racing — it's in the game's Settings, under About;
  • a screenshot, if you can.
